PUPC's October meeting organizers hope to help parents find help for struggling students

Parents and community members are invited to come learn ways to help students become successful at school. The speakers will explain how students can make-up missing credits and graduate on time with their peers. Each participant will receive an important tool that will help parents log their concerns and track their student's progress.

Bettie Jordan, Child Advocate, PUPC Parent Support Group Chair, and the foster parent of many special needs children, will discuss with parents the importance of maintaining thoughtful records about their child's special education experience.  Each meeting participant will receive a booklet regarding record keeping.

Bettie Jordan and PUSD staff administrators will be available before and after the meeting to talk with individual parents.
